Drummer/Percussionist

Tony Christopher is an accomplished drummer and percussionist from Greenville, South Carolina. His musical training began at age ten when he started learning to play the drums, which he did in addition to taking private lessons.

Tony was involved in many programs in middle and high school, such as: drum and bugle corps, marching band, concert orchestra, jazz band, and the Carolina Youth Symphony.

After high school, Tony continued to pursue music at the University of North Greenville for two and a half years before transferring to the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, where he earned a certification in both live and studio performance.

Tony has worked with a variety of bands and combos, playing in styles ranging from rock and funk to jazz, fusion, country, blues, beach music, Motown, and gospel. He has shared concert stages both nationally and internationally in places like the UK, Europe, Central America, and South America.

Tony has been a professor of music and instructor at Eastside Guitars and Drums for the past 23 years. He has been the drummer at Horizon Church in Mauldin for 24 years and has been a member of the Hot Notes band for the past six.
